About the project
“We buy things that we don’t need, to impress people we don’t like.” - Fight Club
“Holy Consumerism” is a book inspired by the world of consumerism, that starts the experience with a storytelling and investigative aspect and turns into interactive play afterward.
This critical design and the interactive book aim and provoke people with a shopping addiction by being dark and satirical. “Teaching” them that being a compulsive buyer is not a good thing. Enhance the possible disorders like anxiety, eating or even personality and also can’t forget financial problems.
Consumerism is de ned as a social and economic order and ideology that encourages the acquisition of goods and services in ever-increasing amounts. The way this behavior spreads and elevates its status in society is surprisingly similar to religious traditions.
