About the project
We worked with flower petals in order to create biomaterial that has the same emotional power as flowers. During this project, we focused on experimenting with different ingredients and approaches to flower petals. This led us into creating 15 samples from which we selected the best 10 and paired them up. Each pair got a fantasy name: Celebration, Love, Imagination, Life and Hope. Names stand for emotions that accompany you during different events in life (wedding, date, anniversary etc.). We focused on flowers to show the downsides of the flower industry.
