Transforming Practices

Focus is on how objects, knowledge of and knowhow from past practices can be a rich and valuable source for designers envisioning sustainable concepts for the future.

The objective is to investigate sustainability issues from an open design brief with no given answers, and learn to navigate into uncertain futures with limited resources.

Two types of explorative methods are introduced a.) product timelines and b.) use of inventory studies. These are used for research connecting past and present, concept development, further discussions and group work along with the mandatory literature and design tools developed at DSKD.
