Welcome

Graduation Exhibition 2024

The 2024 graduation exhibition at Kolding School of Design is titled FRAME. The exhibition invites curious minds to delve into the latest ideas, experiments, and solutions across Fashion Design, Textile Design, Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Accessory Design, as well as designs that address sustainability, play, and social issues.

FRAME centres on the concept of "frames" as both physical structures and symbolic representations, encouraging visitors to explore the boundaries, perspectives, and narratives that frames can create or challenge.

The theme also ties into the opening of Kolding School of Design's transformed building at Ågade 10, which offers new spaces for creative expression, community, and collaboration with the outside world.

Opening hours

Exhibition in our "new" school building

We are pleased— for the first time in many years— to present the exhibition in our "new" school building at Ågade 10.

The building underwent a comprehensive transformation in 2023-2024 to create the best conditions for students and staff. The technological developments demand future-proof workshop facilities, while the school's status as a university has greatly accelerated research, which also requires physical spaces for co-creation.

The A.P. Møller Support Foundation contributed DKK 24 million to the renovation, the Aage and Johanne Louis-Hansen Foundation contributed DKK 15 million, and the Augustinus Foundation contributed DKK 11 million. Kolding School of Design's own financing amounts to DKK 17.8 million.

The renovation took just over 1 1/2 years and was carried out by CUBO Architects, with Hansen & Knudsen A/S as the main contractor and Tegnestuen Mejeriet as the project management consultant.
