Seeing that the Vejle Library lacked an inclusive space for the youth, we initiated our project with the idea of creating a space for gymnasium students to hang out in.

Thanks to a series of workshops and interviews, we concluded that to be able to welcome more gymnasium students, the solution lies not only in small, one-off changes but rather in a radical change in the foundation of the library, allowing students to change their prejudices and encouraging them to come to the library.

This sets a strategic and inclusive direction for a future Culture House in Vejle where gymnasium students can feel included, heard and hopefully want to use the space.

With this in mind, we formulated a five-year plan, composed of four phases, that would give the current Vejle Library the tools to take its first steps into creating a more inclusive future Culture House.
