Tekstil Print Studio
Here, we work with textiles through surface treatments such as colour, patterns, ornamentation, and textile manipulation for both body and space.
The Textile Print Studio is where your theory and methods become practice, giving you hands-on experience from concept to finished product. Through various printing techniques, you'll gain skills in colour theory, material strategies, pattern development, and the design process.
The studio includes a digital printing department with different printers and heat presses in various sizes. The dispersion printer allows for printing on polyester, while the reactive dye printer can print directly onto natural materials like cellulose and animal fibers, such as wool and silk.
In addition to the digital department, we have large print tables for creating analogue prints using screen printing frames and freehand techniques. The Textile Print Studio also features dyeing rooms, Flock technique (where small fibers are glued to a surface with electricity), a darkroom for screen frames, a colour laboratory, and a washing area.
