Exchange Possibilities in the academic year 2024/2025

Kolding School of Design accepts exchange students in the 2nd semester, which runs from mid January 2025 – end June 2025. The exchange will take place on 2nd year BA, 4th semester.

Applications can be made for exchange visits on the following lines of study: Accessory Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Communication Design, and Industrial Design, You can find a list of courses on this page.

Selection Principles
Our students are the most important treasure we have and we see exchange students as “our” students while they take part in our education. Therefore, welcoming exchange students at our institution is of great importance to us. In order to provide the best possible training for our exchange students we have a selection process where we try to match the student’s wishes and talent with the courses we offer.

At Kolding School of Design a student is not just another student but an individual person that we spend many days and hours with. As a small institution, we have to be very careful in our selection process and cannot guarantee seats for all students applying from our partner institutions as both local and exchange students are allocated a place with a desk at our institution. Therefore, we recommend that students consider alternatives in case we are not able to offer them a place.

  • A match of wishes for education from the student and the possible courses we offer
Level of the student’s skills, as we need to make sure that the student will benefit from our programs
  • Available seats, as we only have a certain capacity. That number can vary as it depends on how many local students there are in the class already.

Nomination
The nomination should be done by the institutional or departmental coordinator of the home institution or by an assistant at the International Office or faculty. Only nominations within the deadline are accepted. Nomination deadline is 1st October. Nominations should be send to the following email: af@dskd.dk

Application Process
Our online application system will then open for you. Our application system will open 1 September and will close again 1 October. During your application process you will be asked under which category you apply for. Either Erasmus, Nordplus, Institutional or Individual Applicant. The four categories are described below.

Application Deadline
