600 visitors got a chance to exercise their creative muscles
- I love Danish ”hygge”. And there seems to be plenty of it here – and lots of workshops, said Patricia Wilcox, who had travelled all the way from New York.
The open workshops were a new addition to the Open House programme. Upstairs and downstairs visitors were able to test their creative skills in anything from digital technology to knit, leather and print. And the hands-on experience is just as important as getting information about entrance exams and study programmes:
- We hope that by opening up our workshops, people will be able to sense what studying here is about. The workshops represent a big part of the training, and students become absorbed in the study environment – literally speaking. We work together, party together and live together in a setting that feels much like a Danish folk school. Our workshops are busy day and night. We attract ambitious and creative people who are passionate about what they do, says Lone Dalsgaard, Director of Facilities, Student Recruitment and Career Start.
