Design School Kolding can take you anywhere…

Love was in the air when two of our designers said ”I Do” in the school auditorium.

Cecilie is sitting in the auditorium with her fellow classmates from Accessory Design waiting for class to begin. Enter Jon. With confidence and no sign of hesitation he begins to talk, and Cecilie and the other students realise that he is there to teach.

- I had no idea who he was – and I remember thinking that he came across as a bit of a smart ass, Cecilie says. However, she quickly changed her perception of him.

- He began talking to one of my fellow classmates from Germany and his German was perfect. That impressed me quite a bit, she laughs.

They end up at the same party, talk all night – and the rest, as they say, is history. At least until September of this year when they got married under a trellis of white roses and ivy in Design School Kolding’s auditorium:

- The school means a lot to me. This is the first school that has ever understood the way my mind works. I’ve dreamt of studying here since I was a little girl. So that I got to meet the love of my life here is just wonderful, and we both thought that the school would be the most perfect romantic and authentic setting for our wedding, Cecilie ends.

Cecilie Bak Lindhardt Fabricius is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Accessory Design at Design School Kolding. Jon Bak Jensen trained as a goldsmith at Georg Jensen, Copenhagen, and studied Industrial Design at Design School Kolding. Today he works for the energy company EWII.
