Design student lands spot on HOT-SHOP 13
Most are already off on their holiday. But not Stephanie Lundby. She is an accessory designer and 1st year master student at Design School Kolding's Design for Play programme. The reason she has put off her holiday is because she has received an exclusive invitation to join HOT-SHOP 13. A boundary-breaking annual tradition, the ECCO Leather HOT-SHOP brings together an elite community of designers, futurists, artists, material specifiers, marketers and leather technicians from the worlds of fashion, industrial design, furniture and electronics. Participants are united for an intensive workshop designed to challenge conventional leather creation.
The workshop takes place 7-10 July and this year it is organised as an online event across international time zones. Therefore, Stephanie has received a ’tanner working kit’ to use at home to create new leathers, design products and experiment and interact with technicians and designers from all over the world.
- I'm very grateful for the opportunity and surprised as well. It is a huge an unexpected honour, and I can hardly wait to get my hands on the materials, Stephanie Lundby says.
