Joint focus on international students

New joint guidelines for offering Danish higher education programmes to students from around the world.

On 1 September 2015 the Danish higher education institutions launched their first set of joint guidelines for offering programmes to international students, the so-called Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct contains easily accessible and comprehensible information about the rights, opportunities and legislation of the higher education programmes.

The Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science Esben Lunde Larsen commends the joint effort of the institutions.

- The educational systems of the different countries can be quite hard to figure out. The new joint guidelines will help students to get an overview of the Danish educational institutions and the quality of the programmes and make them choose Denmark. Danish companies have made it clear that in the future, they are going to be in need of highly qualified labour. Joint guidelines will help us meet this challenge, says Esben Lunde Larsen.

“The joint effort will serve as an effective tool for recruiting talented international students, collaboration partners and agents.”
