Design School Kolding exhibits 32 World Cup posters
By Charlotte Melin

Football on TV and football on posters. Football is going to be everywhere this summer when the World Cup commences in Russia.

32 acknowledged graphic designers – one from each of the participating countries – have been asked to contribute to the joint exhibition FOOTB-ALL MIX, which will be shown at Design School Kolding. And each of them has designed an original poster that captures the joy and passion of the game.

- Football is a passion everywhere in the world. Regardless of nationality, colour, religion, political persuasion, gender or looks. What really matters is the passion for the game. The goal is to recognize our collective awareness of the power of football – the game, the passion, the feeling, the joy and the energy, says Brazilian poster artist Felipe Taborda, who initiated the exhibition.

Poster artist Gitte Kath from Christiansfeld, and Design School Kolding graduate, has designed the Danish contribution.

The collection of posters will be exhibited in June and July 2018 at design schools across the world: in Russia and in the other 31 participating countries, as well as in countries that did not qualify for the World Cup.

As part of the exhibition, Design School Kolding will be hosting a competition for the school’s students.

FOOTB-ALL MIX opens Thursday 7 June at 3pm and closes 28 September.
