Power ON
The six-week course started with a company tour and test ride of the TRIPL prototype, which provided the Industrial Design students with insights on technology and functionality. The students have spent the following weeks researching and exploring new utilisations and target groups.
To conclude the programme the students built a detailed physical model of their final designs.
TREFOR has contributed with expertise and were present at the final presentation. And as for new utilisation proposals the students had plenty to offer.
One group introduced”Trip” – an urban transport and sightseeing vehicle. Another group presented ”Pit’n” – a mobile bike repair shop. TREFOR were excited about the designs.
-The different utilisation proposals were a powerful element. The students have been really great at translating customer input into convincing solutions, says Steen Meldgaard Laursen, Sales Director at TREFOR.
Indeed the students’ ability to think outside the box makes the development work very rewarding to everyone involved.
-The students challenge us with their solutions. This is of great value to TREFOR and proves the importance of us collaborating with Design School Kolding, says Henrik Ejsing Andreassen, Head of Business Development at TREFOR.
