Runway relationship
Every seat was taken and more than 300 people had squeezed into the courtyard in front of Design Museum Denmark to see the show on 5 August by the young designers from Design School Kolding and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Design School.
The cobblestone courtyard was chalked like an athletics field for a show that was in no way a competition. Indeed, for the first time the bachelors from the two schools had joined forces – and talents – to give the audience an unforgettable experience.
And they succeeded. Apart from hundreds of guests, the show has been covered heavily by the media, including Danish television and major Danish newspapers and fashion organisations.
- We’re thrilled! We’ve worked so hard to show what we’re made of, says a happy but exhausted Anne Louise Schmidt who holds a BA fashion degree from Design School Kolding.
The show lasted 26 minutes and presented 3-5 outfits by 20 bachelors.
- Working with the designers from Copenhagen has been a real pleasure. It makes perfect sense to share the burden of raising money, finding the models, etc., says Anne Louise.
