Meet Design for People alumnus Lucia Keller
Where do you work at the moment? What is your role and what are your tasks?
I currently work for a Swiss company called Avaloq, which provides financial services for global clients. Located in the Berlin Team, I started as a Service Designer within the so called ‘Experience Studio’ and grew also in the role of a UX Researcher. My tasks vary from creating and conducting internal and external workshops within different teams and clients, as well as planning and conducting UX Research related topics like qualitative and quantitative research studies, user interviews, persona mapping, etc.
What has been the role of the Design for People Master’s programme in getting you where you are today?
The Design for People programme has helped me to understand the variety of options in the design field. No matter which professional field sparks interest in you, there is a spot and a need for motivated and ambitious people. During the studies one can gain fundamental knowledge about the work as a designer and researcher, which is a huge advantage in the market.
What is your favourite memory from Design School Kolding?
My favourite memories about the studies at Design School Kolding are heavily influenced by the people I was lucky enough to meet. The warm welcome and spirit of your fellow students and teachers create the perfect environment to grow professionally and personally.
Do you have any advice to give to someone undertaking this educational path?
Advice is maybe a big word, but it’s always a great idea to have fun with whatever you do, and as I mentioned earlier, the field is very big and diverse so there is a spot for everyone no matter what niche it might be.
