New award for Kolding design talent
HEADSTART FASHION and optician’s chain Smarteyes presented an all new award at this year’s SPOT Festival (SPOT+), the ‘Smarteyes Design Award’ for the design talent of the year. 12 candidates from Denmark’s leading design schools were nominated.
The presentation took place on Saturday 2 May as the final item of the ‘Fashion & Music’ conference SPOT. Via Design (Aarhus/Herning), Design School Kolding and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Design School had each nominated four students or graduates from last year’s class of graduates. All of them have created unique, identifiable universes that show promise for the future, but Anna Nydam from Design School Kolding was the one to win the title.
The award of DKK 25,000 is presented by optician’s chain Smarteyes together with HEADSTART FASHION. In addition to the cash prize, the winner gets to work with Smarteyes designers on a limited eyewear collection.
