Designer Nanna Rosalia has just won the jury’s Special Prize in connection with the CareWare 2015 Entrepreneurship Award.

Nanna Rosalia received the award for her project Visual Therapy which is a series of 3D films intended for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The films uses senses and emotions to get to the core of the traumas and the anxiety.

- Visual Therapy wins the Special Prize because of its promise and potential. The consistently visual approach to therapy is powerful. Among other things, it can help create a common understanding and a common language among relatives, caregivers and patients. At the same time it is amazing to how the people behind Visual Therapy are able to turn their impressive design skills into a genuine therapeutic solution. The concept is still in its early stages but if the team continues their excellent work, Visual Therapy can become a solution that will help thousands of people, explains Christian Graversen, Head of Welfare Tech, who presented the prize to Nanna Rosalia.

- This acknowledgment means so much and the fact that making something so different can become recognized and that design and visual communications can be used within the psychiatric field, says Nanna Rosalia.

Along with the honour the innovators will get a mentor team for one year to help them realise their ideas and implement them in the health care sector.

Nanna Rosalia graduated from Design School Kolding in 2014.
