Talents with an eye for design and business
The most skilled designers are not necessarily the ones who with the most business talent. But when the Design Talent of the Year 2014 will be elected at the Danish Entrepreneurship Award, the focus will be on designers who are able to turn their design into business.
Six designers from Design School Kolding know how to do just that. They are Susanne Thygesen Nors, 4th year Fashion and Textiles student, together with Anne Halskov, Camilla Skøtt, Osmund Olsen, Patrick Johansen and Tanja Lund Evers, all of them Design School Kolding graduates and nominated for the Design Talent Award 2014.
Jury
The jury comprises Industrial Designer Henrik Boe, Trend and Design Spotter Marie-Louise Munter, Interior Designer and Owner of Lerchedesign Mie Lerche and Fashion Designer Tina Sund. They are ready to give out the award of DKK 10000 to this year's Design Talent sponsored by the Triangle Region in Denmark.
- We as professionals must back and support the new generation of young, energetic and talented developers and designers. It's always interesting to see what they are absorbed in, and it clearly shows in their ideas and in their designs, says Henrik Boe, who is an industrial designer at the drawing office boeUNDwichmann and is involved in Danish Entrepreneurship Award both as a jury member and as a speaker.
21 creative entrepreneurs will be exhibiting in the Design Zone, and the winner of the Design Talent of the Year 2014 will be elected on Thursday 20 November at the Danish Entrepreneurship Award 2014 in MESSE C in Fredericia.
