The Future Design Can Make

A New York-Denmark conversation on how design shapes difference across business and society
By Marianne Baggesen Hilger

Design School Kolding is part of a joint venture to explore how the global design challenges of today can redefine the dynamic relationships between business, society, institutions, and education. On 15 November there will be an open event hosted by Parsons School of Design and the Consulate General of Denmark in New York .

The Design School welcomes this opportunity to discuss the value of design and at the same time promote the city of Kolding, which is successfully integrating design in everything from kindergartens to care homes. For its effort and vision, “We design life”, Kolding was just announced UNESCO Design City.

Participating partners include: Danish Design Award Jury, Danish Design Centre, Design denmark, the Design School Kolding, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Designmuseum Danmark, the Parsons School of Design and the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum.
