Knowledge of the green transition

Design School Kolding was chosen as a case because we guarantee relevant knowledge, skills and competences in the green transition
By Charlotte Melin

How do educational institutions equip their students so that they are able to contribute to achieving the goal of the green transition?

Denmark's Evaluation Institute - EVA has sought an answer to this. The institute has recently published a catalogue with nine cases, which describe how nine different higher education programmes ensure that their students get a green learning outcome in the form of knowledge, skills and competences – including Design School Kolding's Master's Degree programme.

The design school's Master's Degree programme with the option to specialize in sustainability is the result of pioneering work within the sustainable transition, which the school has been concerned with and researched for a quarter of a century. Here the students are taught to design and develop products with sustainability in focus, and they gain knowledge within the themes of the environment and circular economy, sustainable behavior and social consequences as well as nature and biodiversity.
