Background
New Life for Old Leather. Leather and fur signals luxury – but the production of the material is a strain on the environment. Therefore it is absurd to discard a jacket or a handbag made of leather when the style goes out of fashion.

When reusing leather and surplus materials from the footwear industry in her handbag collection Eva-Karlotta Tatar challenges the fashion industry to incorporate the circular economy. A minimalist design where the inner lining is a surplus material facilitates the separation of the bag into individual parts when it no longer matches the owner's needs, and it can then be used in a new product.
