A sitting object

WHAT? Are you sitting comfortably? The designer has created a guaranteed comfortable armchair – guaranteed because the legs are of different length and can thus be adjusted to exactly the height that suits the user's own height – long or short. With its oak frame and tightly woven cotton, aesthetics are taken care of as well.

HOW? In her corona isolation, the designer was forced to work on a project centred on her own body. Therefore, the body and its comfort became the starting point for her work, which was later expanded with both hand-drawn sketches and 3D visualisations. The result was this prototype.

WHY? With its adjustable legs this everyday object has become more inclusive. Now people of all heights have the opportunity to sit comfortably.
