Background
'Business as usual’ is no longer an option due to the environmental impact of textile waste.

An alternative to consumption: Repair & Alteration

WHAT?
Young users aquiring sewing, alteration and repair skills through a series of personalised workshopsthat teach them to consume from within what they already have.

HOW?
Using user-studies, wardrobe studies, qualitative methods, co-creation and digital interaction Aida Montes Rodriguez has facilitated processes for young people. By systematically exploring their own wardrobes, they established meaningful relationships with their clothes and maximised their use instead of buying new.

WHY?
'Business as usual’ is no longer an option due to the environmental impact of textile waste. There is an abundance of already existing textiles that have many stimulating potentials for a more creative and less polluted future.
