In collaboration with We Do Wood, Jeppe Ussing Bømler has designed a wooden lounge chair. This project demonstrates how sustainable initiatives in the furniture industry can create value for both users and businesses by combining environmental responsibility with aesthetics and comfort.
Sustainable Lounge Chair Creates Value
The geometric base enhances the softness of the backrest and seat, while the visible construction, materiality, width, and weight inspire confidence and invite use. The chair is designed without upholstery to highlight the wood and construction, and it can be flat-packed for easy transport. By following We Do Wood’s five steps for a circular economy, the chair showcases how sustainability can be integrated into modern furniture design.
