Background
This project utilizes inclusive design to gather people in both physical and metaphorical spaces by integrating sensory elements such as colors, textures, light, and acoustics into a public environment.

Connections through design

We perceive places through atmosphere and design, which influences how we interprets a space. In her process, the designer involved volunteers from the Danish Refugee Council and the international students who regularly visit the organization’s Speak-Danish Café. By embedding narratives into a given environment, the designer aims to promote a dialogue between the space and its users and enrich the place with stories that connect people. The goal is to transform everyday environments into interactive canvases that resonate with and reflect the people who use them.
