Background
In collaboration with the LEGO Group, Ewa Zybala has developed ‘It’s a baby’ – a design tool that challenges the toy industry to move away from both gender-stereotyped toys, which risk limiting children’s developmental scope, and gender-neutral designs, which often hold little or no appeal for children.
It’s a child!
The tool focuses on both form and content and helps manufacturers visualize and understand the complexity associated with genders and expressions in order to enable them to design for a more inclusive future.
