Background
The designer uses fashion as a communicative and social act in order to create awareness and commitment around the EU and the privilege it is to be born as an EU citizen.

She expresses this notion in a clothing collection, which is an aesthetic and formal deconstruction of the EU we know today. Through a critical approach to the EU's border policy, she emphasizes the importance and the strength of co-operation, both politically and in the area of fashion. The clothing series is called A Union of Clothes which Make the Statement Wearable, and it includes codes and symbols that refer to the EU, albeit in a newly interpreted and deconstructed light.
