Background
For centuries tapestries and other textiles have staged history and created an atmosphere in significant spaces.
Too much
This installation of curtains conveys a gruelling contemporary story. The organization Lev og Lad Leve (Live and Let Live) has collected 1000 instances of hatred against LGBTQI + people in Denmark. It is these stories that are conveyed in the colourful and complex aesthetics of the design. The character of the digitally printed curtains changes depending on the perspective and creates an atmosphere as well as an awareness of an ugly problem.
