ORNAMENT IS RIOT
Background
Based on the classic and functional work jacket, the designer has worked with artistic upcycling and decoration as a rebellious communication tool to zoom in on Danish native species that promote biodiversity.
ORNAMENT IS RIOT
In particular, the wild 'blue hat' flora (Knautia Arvensis) attracts diverse wildlife and harbors endangered insects that are directly dependent on it. With the title 'ORNAMENT IS RIOT,' the designer aims to foster an appreciation for decoration and care for the flora. Just as nature should be set free, the designer wants to set the jackets free on construction sites, in the cityscape, and in the backyard.
