Background
At the time when Kåre Klint and Børge Mogensen designed chairs for FDB (Danish Consumers Cooperative Society) ordinary people were given the opportunity to decorate their homes tastefully.
A Climate-friendly Classic
The secret behind this development was inexpensive production methods. In his graduation project Morten Hedeby Elsborg has poached on the old masters’ preserves and has designed an armchair with an element of sustainability. The result is a laser cut birch plywood chair lined with beach, oak or larch, packed flat for transportation as a do-it-yourself assembly set, a climate-friendly and inexpensive example of a modern classic.
