Background
The project integrates play into children’s care pathways during hospital visits, focusing on young children experiencing fear or anxiety about facing their first X-ray.

Children’s Play & Care

The "Inside-out" doll, inspired by Kolding Hospital's mascot "Rumle," helps medical staff explain X-ray procedures playfully and interactively. The doll's movable limbs allow doctors to demonstrate positioning, and its skeleton lights up under UV light, mimicking the X-ray process. This intervention aims to build trust and understanding between young patients and medical professionals while contributing to the broader field of hospital-based play interventions.
