The sound of tradition and craftsmanship

Collaborating with sound artist and musician Tobias Sejersdahl, she explored the sounds and rhythms of weaving, imagining the loom as an instrument. Weaving songs, as old as work itself, are found in all cultures and have traditionally provided rhythm for manual, repetitive tasks. This project revives forgotten weaving songs, renewing weaving traditions through song, stories, and textiles.
