The project explores the new potential of local wool, emphasizing the connection between people, land, and animals. In the Netherlands, local wool often has low market value and no clear use.
The potential of local wool
The project engages with stakeholders to uncover opportunities and address gaps in the wool market. It aims to promote traditional crafts to counteract mass production and encourage the use of local wool. By focusing on handcrafts and material literacy, manifested in a woven wool blanket and a visual narrative, the project seeks to inform and inspire the local community to appreciate and use Dutch wool, fostering sustainability and active participation.
