Background
The majority of children and adults with autism have a particular sensory sensitivity.

An embracing chair

This specific sensitivity and other developmental disorders are collectively referred to as ‘autism spectrum disorders’, abbreviated to ASF. In this project, the two designers have developed a seating unit for adults with ASF. The design has been developed based on insights from interviews and co-creation workshops with experts and potential users. The chair must meet the needs of adults with ASF, and at the same time it must feel homely and created from natural materials.
