Background
Thy is known for its beautiful nature and rich wildlife. However, Thisted Store Torv lacks vibrancy, and the locals dream of a lively square filled with activities, play, market days, and spaces for nature and covered resting areas.
The people of Thy want life back in Thisted Store Torv
The designer has created a comprehensive plan to revive Thisted Store Torv, based on input from the people of Thy. The project includes both an architectural plan and the design of individual furniture pieces. By integrating traditions such as space for the Christmas tree and bike parking, and focusing on sustainability, including the use of stranded plastic from a local company for the furniture, and incorporating the natural elements of Thy, the design achieves a harmonious balance between past and present.
