Background
Social interaction among children and young people increasingly takes place on social media, a reality that Sunna Ósk Þorvaldsdóttir is worried will result in a loss of social skills in the long term.
Warming Bench
As an industrial designer and landscape architect she has therefore created a unique conversational piece of furniture in the form of an outdoor bench for public places. The bench challenges the boundaries – both between functions and between people – inviting a dialogue about whether it should be used as a table or as a place to sit down
