Louisiana Museum Children's Wing
Background
For their Master’s thesis, the designers ideated and facilitated a drop-in workshop experience for the Louisiana Museum Children’s Wing.
Exploring creativity and community through patching flags
Inspired by the vibrant patchwork of the Gee’s Bend collective and tied to the museum’s exhibition “The Irreplaceable Human,” this workshop invited children and families to participate in a meaningful play experience. Guests sewed one-of-a-kind patched-up flags and then hung them to form colourful garlands, contributing to a larger collaborative art piece. This project, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Children’s Wing, emphasized the importance of creativity, intergenerational collaboration, and the value of time and inspiration in the creative process.
