Intended to open in 2026, the new Viking history exhibition at Kongernes Jelling revolutionizes visitor engagement through an immersive journey into the Viking Age.
Viking Voyage
By boarding a replica Viking ship, visitors will embark on the exploratory travels of the Vikings, where they will participate in trading, raiding, and negotiating through hands-on activities that reflect Vikings travels to different lands. By utilizing storytelling, the visitors’ own bodies as well as spatial design, the exhibition design offers an engaging, educational experience that merges play and learning into a cohesive adventure, thereby enriching the public’s appreciation of Viking culture and history.
