Background
Japanese repair techniques
Based on the Japanese aesthetic tradition wabi-sabi, which focuses on finding beauty in imperfection, the designer has investigated how lines can be drawn between Japanese and Danish design culture. On a surface level they are largely similar, but if you dive deeper, you will discover that each culture works with the same elements in highly different ways. The designer has also worked to draw elements from nature and from Japanese repair techniques into her collection.
